As we age, we all wished to feel more youthful and young again and our only solution is with beauty products. You might think that they are expensive but they really aren’t if you know where to go.

Use store wide sales to your advantage. Beauty products usually don’t go on sale but department stores’ revenue is made up of much more than this area so when everything goes on sale, you get to save.

Large grocery chains carry a selection of health and beauty aids that are sometimes less expensive than at the local pharmacy.

Remember to check out the online stores since they are all the same. Especially on accessories and refills like razor blades, the online retailers will sell them for less.

Costco really has great prices even though they may not sell the brand you are used to using. If you look and it’s for sale, you probably don’t need to research further to see which store has better prices.

If you belong to a co-op or shopping club, you will find that they provide quality products at a reduced price, especially if you buy in bulk.

Vinegar is a great dandruff remedy. Raw egg whites can tighten the skin on your face when it is left to dry. Salad dressing cleans the pores and softens the skin when used as a facial.

Baking soda makes great toothpaste. If it is mixed into a paste with a little water, it can be used as an underarm deodorant. Mineral oil can substitute as a bath or after shower oil. You can even use a little squeezed lemon or lemon juice to scent your bath.

Like everything else, use coupons and wait for sales. They are always the best way to save and the idea is simple but effective.

Sometimes, the easiest way to save is to use less. Just because you bought a huge bottle doesn’t mean that you should be using a ton of lotion every minute of the day.
