For most women, part of the morning and evening routines involve a skincare regimen of applying creams, moisturizers, tonics, lotions, and the like. Why do women put themselves through this? They do it primarily to combat the signs of aging, and to maintain youthful looks and beautiful skin! It is a safe bet, however, that most women haven’t put much thought into what is in the products that they are using. Some women probably do not realize that what they are putting on their skin may actually be undermining what they are trying to prevent to begin with. In fact the average woman puts twelve products on her skin daily, most of which contain harmful chemical preservatives. Dr. Myron Wentz, founder and chairperson of USANA Health Sciences, has this to say about beauty in the company magazine’s June/July 2005 issue: “Some say that beauty is only skin deep. Nonsense! I believe that true beauty is a reflection of true health, and true health begins deep inside each and every cell in the body. But true health and true beauty have an outer component, which is why we require protection from environmental insults such as solar radiation, pollutants in our environment and the drying effects of air. . .

Ageing bedevils us all and so many people, as they age, want to find a solution to looking older and feeling older. For this reason there is a massive market in anti aging products. Aging people, however, are usually unaware that many anti aging skin care products on the market today contain ingredients which may be damaging to their health. Fragrances are a good example.
Estimates are that there are some around 4000 different fragrances used in so many of the personal products that we use today including anti aging skin products. After all everyone wants to smell nice and it’s well known that adding a fragrance to a personal product helps it sell. So what’s the problem with smelling nice when you’re applying the latest anti aging skin care product?

The anti aging and skin care industries are huge. Millions or billions of dollars are spent by consumers on anti aging skin care treatments, and so there is big money to be made. And there are plenty of big companies in the anti aging and cosmetics industry that take advantage of this.
But that doesn’t mean that the products work well, and there are many big brand name anti-aging skin care products that do very little. There is no government regulation in the US requiring companies to demonstrate that their products work or that they even use safe ingredients.

Just because you suffer from excessively oily skin doesn’t mean you have to resort to harsh chemicals and cleansers. In fact, these often have just the opposite effect, irritating the skin so much that it releases even more oil. Avoid this vicious cycle by using only organic methods to remove the oil and balance out your skin.
Cleansing First off, you’ll need to make sure that you are treating your skin properly. It needs to be cleaned on a daily basis, but one mistake that many people with oily skin make is to wash their faces 3-5 times a day, or even more. This only causes more oil to be produced, which worsens the problem.

One’s age, lack of sleep, poor diet, busy lifestyle, and genetic predisposition, are common causes of panda eyes, or dark circles under the eyes. Because the skin under our eyes is thin, it is at a higher risk of damage from products such as makeup and harsh environmental substances. Fortunately, there are things that one can do to minimize panda eyes.
1. Implementing a healthy lifestyle is one way of minimizing panda eyes. Exercising regularly, drink lots of water (8 glasses a day), eating a healthy diet that includes fruit and vegetables, and getting 7 – 8 hours of sleep a night, will help improve the health of the skin and reduce panda eyes.
