Moisturizers for oily skin are big business however the sad truth is that most oily skin moisturizers do very little to moisturize your skin at best and at worst can be risky to your health. This is a result of the types of ingredients used in so many mainstream skin care products today.

Mineral oil is an ingredient which may well pose problems to your health. It has been linked to cancer, it has been linked to allergies and it has been linked to skin irritation and irritation of the eyes. And it can even be absorbed in small amounts into the body where it can interfere with the absorption of vitamins.

So why in the world would the personal and beauty products manufacturers and skin care manufacturers use mineral oil in their products? There’s a simple answer, it’s incredibly cheap and way cheaper than any other alternative ingredient.

There are many excellent alternatives to the use of mineral oil in moisturizers for oily skin or even moisturizers the dry skin. There are many natural ingredients which work exceedingly well as skin moisturizers and have been known to be effective at promoting better skin health for generations. Shea butter, avocado extract and babassu oil are 3 examples however there are many more examples of natural ingredients which are well known to be effective skin moisturizers.

There are companies which produce excellent natural skin care products using such ingredients. One in particular makes an excellent range of natural anti aging products, none of which contain mineral oil or any other chemical or petrochemical ingredients, and which work equally well for all skin types. They do not produce a moisturizer for oily skin and in fact do not produce a moisturizer at all because all their products work to produce better skin health and better skin moisture levels equally well.

You would assume that because these ingredients are much more expensive than chemical or petrochemical ingredients then the products must also be much more expensive, however surprisingly the products are very cost competitive and there is one simple reason for this. This company does not advertise on television and therefore it does not need to factor the costs of television advertising into the price of it’s products.
